Toronto Mayor Rob Ford continues to be fresh fodder for American comedians, including “Late Show” host David Letterman.
On Wednesday night’s show, Letterman and bandleader Paul Shaffer bantered about documentarian Ken Burns’ filmmaking talents, in particular, how Burns took surviving presidents and filmed them reciting Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, and then edited them together.
What ensues is a parody entitled “Ken Burns Presents: ‘The Statement’ by Rob Ford,” starring Jennifer Lawrence, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jonah Hill, Vince Vaughn and even Martha Stewart against a “presidential” background, reciting Ford’s now-famous crack admission speech.
