Phoenix man walks into tree, gets arrested

A guy walks into a tree … could be the setup or the punch line to a joke.
Unless you are Kenneth Melton, in which case it is what happened to you while Phoenix police officers looked on.
Phoenix New Times proclaimed Melton’s subsequent arrest for a felony warrant and marijuana possession as the “saddest reason” for arrest so far this year.
After watching Melton whack his head on a tree on 43rd Avenue near Fillmore Street, police checked on him. Melton proceeded to give a fake name, then admitted he did so because there was warrant out on him. Police said he also admitted to having a marijuana pipe on him.
