A deeper look at Avnet and its history

We have all seen Avnet’s locations around the Valley, but what do you know about the Phoenix-based electronic distributor, one of the largest in the world?

Avnet, founded in 1921 and incorporated in 1955, is currently overseen by CEO Rick Hamada. It boasts more than 17,000 customers worldwide that are dedicated to supplying more than 100,000 customers in over 80 countries.

When it comes to service breadth, Avnet is tough to beat thanks to the company’s experience in supply-chain services, logistics solutions, computer system integration and core distribution services.

Avnet has been voted “Fortune” Magazine’s Most Admired Company for five straight years.
