New cookbook pays tribute to 50 years of The Beatles
Even if your only Beatles reference is "that old guy (Paul McCartney) who jammed with Dave Grohl at the Hurricane Sandy concert," it's hard to find anyone who hasn't had at least a small taste of the Fab Four. Yes, that pun WAS intended, because now, there's a cookbook that draws its inspiration from John, Paul, George and Ringo. It's called: "Recipe Records: A Culinary Tribute to The Beatles" by Larena Stagg and it contains 50 recipes to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles.
The third book in her "Recipe Records" cookbook series, this yummy collection features cleverly named recipes like: I Should've Known Butter, Strawberry Pie Forever, The White Album Fondue, Let It Brie, Stuffed Sgt. Peppers, Lady Medallions, Roll Up For the Magical Mystery Wrap and George Martinis.
A little trivia: Did you know, the working title for the all-time classic song, "Yesterday," was "Scrambled Eggs?"
Well, even if you never break an egg (man) to this one, it seems like a tasty tidbit to add to your collection.
"Recipe Records: A Culinary Tribute to The Beatles" will be available for purchase in mid-March, but pre-orders are now being taken on the Recipe Records website.
And if you're planning an east coast trip in the spring, Lanea Stagg will be making her inaugural appearance with her cookbooks at this year's Fest for Beatles Fans" in Secaucus, NJ (the Liverpool of the New World?) on April 5 - 7. Along with her Beatles tribute cookbook, she will be selling and signing her first two books, "Recipe Records" and "Recipe Records: the 60s Edition."
