John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote most of the Beatles songs, but the youngest Beatle, George Harrison, would generally get at least one of his songs on each of their albums. In fact, his song "Something," was covered by more than 150 artists making it the second most covered Beatles song after "Yesterday."

After the Beatles' break-up, Harrison went on to a successful solo career charting singles well into the 80s. His last No. 1 came in 1987 with "Got My Mind Set on You." It was his only solo No. 1 not written by him.

Yesterday was George Harrison's birthday; he would have been 70.

Harrison died in 2001 from cancer.
