Lost 80s at 4 with Steve Douglas: Remember Cyndi Lauper's Grammy win
Cyndi Lauper became the first female recording artist since 1967 to be nominated for five Grammy Awards: Album of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Performance (Female), Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
She won for Best New Artist. "Time After Time" was the song that got her the Song of the Year nomination.
