Rose is the Bulls' best player, but he isn't the REAL victim of this story.
No, the real victim here is 25-year-old Matthew Thompson of Peoria, Illinois.
See, Matthew is a HUGE Bulls fan. And he says Rose's injury, and the missed season, caused him emotional distress. And over the course of the season without Rose, he's gained a ton of weight.
So now, according to HipHop365, he's suing him.
He says Rose slacked on his rehab, was negligent with his body, and should be playing since doctors cleared him last month.
Matthew is seeking an undisclosed amount.
The Bulls still made the playoffs this year. They finished 45-and-37, got the number five seed, and lost their first playoff game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Most people order take-out. But in the case of William Daniel Llyod, you tape a bullet to a BB gun and go hunt for your food.
That night, Llyod had an appetite for Squirrel.
According to MSN, when the hungry man fired his makeshift weapon at his future dinner, the BB struck the cartridge's primer, causing an explosion.
Lloyd was hospitalized after shrapnel from the explosion hit him in the arm and leg.
The "hunter" is expected to be fine, but there's no report on the condition of the squirrel.
In Spain, two men were busted trying to get big insurance settlements, by sawing off their own hands. The two cases were unconnected, but both guys had similar plans.
One guy used a chainsaw to chop off one of his hands. He claimed he lost the hand in a car accident, and was looking at a $3.1 million settlement, until investigators found the cut was too clean for a car crash and busted him.
The other guy went with a circular saw. He chopped off his entire lower arm and claimed it was a sawing accident. He was only looking at a $775,000 settlement, but was also busted after an investigation.
Both men are facing criminal charges.
The masked man entered Sandler's Party Store about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, brandished a handgun and demanded money.
Patrick O'Brien, 21, walked up to the man, thinking he was a friend, and grabbed him in a playful way, police said. The gunman then hit O'Brien in the head with his gun.
The gunman fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
O'Brien was not seriously injured and did not seek medical treatment, the Times Herald of Port Huron reported.
He was visiting a friend at the store in Fort Gratiot Township, 55 miles northeast of Detroit.
The incident occurred aboard a flight from Ottawa to Winnipeg Saturday. The regional jet, capable of carrying 50 people, was operated by Air Canada's Jazz subsidiary.
Jazz spokeswoman Manon Stewart said that with 30 minutes of the flight to go, the pilot went to the washroom, leaving the first officer in charge. But when he tried to get back into the cockpit, the door would not open. "The door malfunctioned ... this is a very rare occurrence," Stewart said, adding that the crew's decision to remove the door had been in line with company policy.
A report in the Ottawa Citizen newspaper said that for about 10 minutes "passengers described seeing the pilot bang on the door and communicating with the cockpit though an internal telephone, but being unable to open the door." Stewart said the paper's report was "a bit dramatic" and stressed that at no time had the plane or passengers been in danger. She did not say how many people had been on board.

Two of the perps, who both had warrants out for their arrest, were taken into custody and booked into jail.
According to the arresting officer, "They didn't make the brightest decision on where to smoke their pot."
