Glendale to be besieged by chocolate in February

Those looking for a chocolatey Valentine's Day treat will have their dreams come true in Glendale in a few short weeks.

The Glendale Chocolate Affaire will take over downtown Glendale from Feb. 3 through Feb. 5. The festival celebrates all things chocolate, such as chocolate-covered bacon, chocolate-covered Twinkies and chocolate churros.

The Chocolate Affaire is sponsored by Arizona's own Cerreta's -- among other businesses and groups -- who will be offering candy factory tours the entire weekend of the festival.

In addition to the chocolate, festival attendees will experience one of the largest gatherings of romance novelists in the Southwest. There is also an open-air art competition with prizes, live music and plenty of activities for the entire family.
