DISH: Bruce Springsteen dedicates 'Born to Run' to James Gandolfini
Reacting to the death of fellow New Jersey native James Gandolfini, Bruce Springsteen played the entire Born to Run album at his Thursday night show in Coventry, England.
The rocker dedicated the iconic album to his "great friend" and let the music do the talking. The band started playing the famed 1975 album after playing a dozen other songs.
... Springsteen's guitarist Steven Van Zandt co-starred with Gandolfini on HBO's The Sopranos.
It's impossible to imagine anyone but James Gandolfini playing Tony Soprano, but the late actor initially questioned if he was right for the now-iconic TV role.
Back in 2004, the usually media-shy actor appeared on Bravo's Inside the Actors Studio where he said, "I really thought they would pick someone different. [Someone] suave, Mafioso, good looking guy... Just someone a little more leading man type."
In the same interview, host James Lipton also asked Gandolfini one of his famous final questions: "If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say at the pearly gates?"
Gandolfini replied with a laugh, "Take over for a while, I'll be right back."

Earlier this week rumors seemed to indicate that they named the girl Kaidence Donda West, but now a source close to the couple said that's false. Justin Bieber unveiled his new fragrance Thursday. It's called The Key. The packaging for what is the 19-year-old's third fragrance includes a gold colored key that dangles off the white columned bottle. Bieber says, "[The Key] will unlock a personal side of me they've never seen before, bringing us closer than ever."
