DISH: Angelina Jolie opens all girls school in Afghanistan
Jolie chose to fund the girls-only primary school in an area just outside of Kabul, a region that traditionally favors boys' education over girls'.
Angelina picked the village as the site of the school due to its high refugee population regional fighting caused many locals to flee when their homes were destroyed, but since the collapse of the Taliban regime, families are slowly starting to return to the once-devastated area.
The school itself currently educates between 200 and 300 girls.
Monday morning, Mila Kunis apparently made the announcement she is expecting a child with boyfriend Ashton Kutcher on her Facebook fan page.
She wrote in a post:
"As you all probably know, I'm pregnant and I've decided to take the next 9 months off with Ashton Kutcher in Hawaii. Don't worry, my manager will be posting pictures everyday as usual so you can all see the progress and news. :) I'm so happy. Any ideas for the baby's name?"
But the viral baby rumor was just another April Fools' prank orchestrated by the actress's adoring fans, as the Facebook page is not run by Mila or her team.
$10 million dollars. This is the spicy sum reportedly offered to Cate Blanchett to be the new face of Giorgio Armani's female fragrances.
It is a significant amount even by the gob-smacking standards of the celebrity endorsement world.
Last year Brad Pitt was apparently offered a mere $7 million to appear as the face of Chanel No 5.
The right face on a fragrance can be worth big bucks.
In 2012, 31 of the top 100 perfumes were created or endorsed by a celebrity.
Heidi Klum turned real-life hero on Sunday when she raced to save her son from drowning after he was swept away in the Pacific Ocean while on vacation in Hawaii.
The German model's seven-year-old boy Henry was swimming with two nannies off the coast of Oahu when a strong riptide pushed them further out into the deep water.
Klum and her bodyguard boyfriend saw the drama unfold and leaped into action, and luckily, they were able to pull the trio safely to shore.
One of the stars of the MTV reality show Buckwild was found dead Monday in an SUV along with his uncle and a third, as-yet-unidentified person.
The bodies of Shain Gandee, his uncle David Gandee, and the third person were inside a 1984 Ford Bronco in a wooded area near Sissonville, West Virginia.
A statement from the sheriff's office said there was no sign of foul play.
Gandee and his uncle had been reported missing over the weekend. MTV News reports that they told patrons at a bar at 3 AM on Sunday that they were going off-roading in the Bronco.
Gandee earned the nickname 'Gandee Candy' for his wild stunts and sunny disposition.
A second season of the show had recently been given the green light.
In an interview at the New York premiere of "The Place Beyond the Pines," the actor, 32, was confronted with the existence of the Ryan Gosling hotline, a service that lets fans call in to hear consoling quotes from the star's movies.
When E! News interviewer Alicia Quarles asked if he's called the helpline, Gosling looked baffled.
"Are you serious?" he asked.
"So when you announced that you were taking a break from acting, a hotline has come up when people can call and hear your voice. Does it freak you out?" Quarles continued.
"Yeah, I'm feeling a little freaked out," Gosling said. "I'm feeling feelings of freaked-outness, yeah."
The actor appeared on the red carpet alongside on-screen romantic partner and real-life girlfriend Eva Mendes.
The "Gangster Squad" hunk announced earlier in the month that he was stepping away from the movies for a while.
"I've been doing it too much. I've lost perspective on what I'm doing," Gosling told The Associated Press. "I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does."
