Lockdown lifted at NC college after reports of man with rifle seen on campus

A lockdown prompted by reports of a man with a rifle on campus has been lifted at North Carolina A&T on Monday and classes will resume.

A two-hour plus police sweep of the Greensboro, N.C. campus was completed and school officials were given the all-clear to return to regular activity.
Students were informed via the school website that there was a “shelter in place” in effect for several buildings.
A school representative said there had been campus police got a call shortly before 10 a.m. Eastern time about a man with a rifle being on the grounds.
