The live finale of "Britain's Got Talent" featured a surprise that left the judges, particularity Simon Cowell, cracked up.
Richard and Adam Johnson, brothers, were performing a spectacular rendition of "The Impossible Dream," when a woman ran to the front of the stage and began pelting Cowell with eggs.
Shortly after the woman landed a few line drives, security hauled her off stage.
The Johnson brothers kept their composure during the commotion, and they finished their performance strong.
The egg thrower was Natalie Holt, a violin player who was performing with the backing group during the Johnson's performance. It was also revealed that Holt was a former contestant of the show's previous season.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Holt released the following statement:
"I want to apologize to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do."
As for Cowell, he thinks the show should remain focused on talent and not breakfast food.
I don't think eggs should be allowed on talent shows. Discuss?— Simon Cowell (@SimonCowell) June 9, 2013
