Arizona trails only California, Texas and Florida in deaths resulting from police violence from January to July of 2015, according to Mic.com.
There have been 605 deaths from police violence through July 10 of this year. With 28 deaths recorded, Arizona is one of five states with 25 or more police-related deaths this year, according to the data.
Three states — Rhode Island, South Dakota and Vermont — have yet to record a police-involved death.
While population numbers impact the results with California (95) and Texas (64) accounting for many deaths, other studies indicate socioeconomic correlation in the results.
