Arizona’s beautiful scenery and variety of outdoor activities lend itself to being physically active.
In fact, a recent WalletHub study analyzed 2015’s best and worst cities for recreation, and Phoenix snagged the 19th best spot.
The site compared the 100 largest U.S. cities across 27 key metrics, measuring data sets from average movie cost to number of attractions and parkland acreage.
Phoenix rated 23rd in spending on parks per capita. The city was 17th for acres of parkland as a percentage city area. Other categories Phoenix aced were the top spot in average beverage price and second in grooming costs.
July is National Park and Recreation Month, so get out there and enjoy your surroundings.
