PHOENIX — Rest easy, Arizona drivers. There will be no construction-related freeway closures over Fourth of July weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
While no projects are planned, closures could still result from collisions. ADOT warned drivers to inspect their vehicles before hitting the road, always use seat belts and carry a cell phone in case of an emergency.
The upswing in monsoon activity across the state could also cause hazardous driving conditions.
Dozens of DUI patrols are planned statewide.
