PHOENIX — Pinal County officials will meet this week to discuss a proposed 480-acre park.
The Pinal County Open Space and Trails Department was expected to go over plans for the proposed Peralta Regional Park, located near the Superstition Mountain area.
“One of the things people want in Pinal County is to keep that rural flavor and keep the desert pristine,” county spokesman Joe Pyritz said.
The proposed park is expected to offer a variety of outdoor opportunities including camping, hiking, horseback riding and stargazing.
The department will hold an open house at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Central Arizona College’s Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction to discuss the park.
