GILBERT, Ariz. — For a new marketing campaign to reach out to the younger, millennial generation, the town of Gilbert has created a new tourism brand called Discover Gilbert.
Amanda Elliott, a Gilbert Economic Development representative, said the brand was created to appeal to a younger generation.
“One of the areas we are focusing on is millennials, which is why the brand has a modern feel to it,” she said. “We realized that the millennial generation is one of our prime targets.”
One of the new tools the city will use to map out events is called Map-It, which will provide guests with an easier way to discover local businesses, events and deals.
Gilbert is home to avariety of attractions, such as the wildlife Riparian Preserve and Top Golf, a restaurant and driving range that combines competition and entertainment.
“A lot of people come to Gilbert’s heritage district for the new restaurants,” Elliott added.
