PHOENIX — At least 35 people have been sickened by the norovirus at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs hospital, the VA said Tuesday.
The organization said three people are still being treated but the rest have made a full recovery.
To prevent the virus from spreading further, the hospital ceased admissions, limited patient access and cancelled group activities.
Norovirus is a common stomach bug in the United States. It is passed through contaminated food or bodily fluids. Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and pain are common symptoms.
