LISTEN: Monica Lindstrom - Jodi Arias Re-trial - In The Jury's Hands

PHOENIX — After a day and a half of closing statements, the fate of convicted killer Jodi Arias was placed in the hands of a jury Wednesday.

The four women and eight men deliberated for several hours before going home for the day. They are deciding whether or not Arias gets the death sentence for the 2008 killing of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

Five jurors have been excused in the case, two this week.

The jury could sentence Arias to death, life in prison or life with a chance of parole.

The last jury handed Arias’ fate failed to reach a verdict, resulting in a mistrial.
