Police searching for man who assaulted Valley bus driver in July

PHOENIX — Valley law enforcement agencies are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who assaulted a Valley bus driver last year.
Silent Witness said a man boarded a Valley Metro bus without the proper fare on Thursday, July 10, at 6:18 p.m. The man then struck the driver several times with a skateboard before exiting the bus and fleeing.
The suspect had boarded the bus at North 43rd Avenue and West Hubbell Street in west Phoenix.
Authorities describe the suspect as a black male who is between 16 and 20 years old and roughly 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall and 150 pounds. They said the assailant possibly has a birthmark on his left cheek.
