PHOENIX — Two new barn owls at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum are ready to make their public debut but still need to be named.
The museum has decided to hold a contest to name the brother and sister owls. The winning names will be announced Oct. 24. The choices are Hansel and Gretel, Pugsley and Wednesday and Merriam and Webster.
You can meet the owls Oct. 25 and 26 at the “Creature Features at the Boo!seum” event. It’s free with admission to the museum. Children 12 and younger dressed in a Sonoran Desert animal, plant or mineral costume will receive free admission.
