PHOENIX — A small team of graduate students from Arizona State University are raising their game in their quest to develop and market a wheelchair that can elevate.
The group has been working on UP since 2012, according to the State Press. The chair raises 10 inches so that user can talk closer to eye level with people who are standing.
Peter Georgiu, Andrew Lai, Chris Miranda and Rachel Bone joined forces at ASU’s InnovativeSpace. Different colors of the wheelchair will be available and the foursome also envisions a line of accessories, such as clothing.
