We all know Arizona weather is weird. One Arizona filmmaker captured the best of Arizona’s wacky weather in a new documentary film and photo essay.
Bryan Snider compiled time lapses, video and photographs from Arizona’s 2014 monsoon season, stretching from July 1 to Sept. 27.
Snider couldn’t have picked a better season to study. The 2014 monsoon was one of the wettest on record. Phoenix Sky Harbor recorded 6.34 inches of rain. In a typical monsoon, 2.71 inches falls at the airport. Some of Arizona saw more than a foot of water fall from the skies.
