PHOENIX– The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has been selected to host the National Sheriff’s Association Conference.
It’s the second time the has been held in the Valley.
The conference will shine a spotlight on the 3,083 sheriffs across the nation and is expected to generate almost $6 million in tourism revenue.
“We are thrilled that the NSA Annual Conference is coming back to Phoenix,” said Phoenix Vistors Bureau spokesman Doug MacKenzie in a statement. “The conference is a knowledge-sharing event in the truest sense, and the sheriffs of the NSA are the sort of public servants we’re honored to work with and host.”
Phoenix and Sheriff Joe Arpaio hosted the conference in 1998. Just like that earlier conference, the 2021 edition will train its participants to improve each office’s services to its constituents. A trade show demonstrating new technologies will also accompany the conference.
