PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns have a special membership offer for people who serve across Arizona. Anyone who is a teacher, military member, firefighter or police officer can get a season ticket pass to the 2014-15 season for just $149.

Suns President Jason Rowley said it’s just another move by the team to give back to the community.

“All of those individuals do so much year in and year out for the community,” Rowley said. “We just want to do something to give back as well.”

Anyone with valid identification for one of those careers can get up to six passes for the season for $149 each. At this price for all 41 home games in the season, that’s $3.63 per game.

Since re-signing restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe Wednesday, there’s a renewed buzz about the team’s upcoming season. But Rowley said the Suns wanted to nevertheless keep the deal in place for community leaders.

“Even though our demand is going up significantly this year based on the success of the team, we thought it was important to continue doing it,” Rowley said. “It’s important for us to do as much as we can to give back to the community, and we just thought it was the right thing to do.”
