Ozone watch issued for metro Phoenix

PHOENIX — Maricopa County environmental quality officials issued an ozone health watch for Thursday.

The department recommended that anyone who is sensitive to air quality stay indoors as much as possible.
The high in the Phoenix area is expected to be about 100 degrees. Heated pollutants in the air make up ozone, a gas that can cause inflammation in the lungs, making breathing more difficult for some.
