PHOENIX — It’s back!
Coca-Cola announced Monday that Surge, a popular soda from the late 1990s, has made its comeback on virtual store shelves. The soda giant is testing the market by selling Surge on Amazon before possibly expanding.
“This will be a great learning experience for us and a refreshing opportunity for fans,” Wendy Clark, Coke’s president of North America Sparkling & Strategic Marketing, said in a statement.
Coke said it was inspired to bring the soft drink back after a Facebook group purchased a billboard near the company’s headquarters asking for its return.
