PHOENIX -- Authorities say a sex-trafficking investigation in the Phoenix metropolitan area has netted 14 suspects on prostitution-related charges.
Phoenix police investigators said the suspects were trying to recruit people for hire in the sex trade via social media.
The names of the 14 suspects weren't immediately released Friday.
Police said the suspects are facing charges that include felony pandering, soliciting prostitution with a minor, receiving the earnings of prostitution and transportation with the purpose of prostitution.
The FBI and the police departments of Phoenix, Chandler, Glendale and Scottsdale all were part of the investigation.
