Arizona DOC officer assaulted in Florence jail

PHOENIX — An Arizona Department of Corrections officer was assaulted Tuesday at a prison in Florence, Ariz., a spokesman said.
The officer sustained a dislocated nose during an incident with an inmate. He was hospitalized and released shortly after.
The inmate will be disciplined.
No other injuries were reported.
Neither the guard nor the inmate were publicly identified.
