PHOENIX -- A Glendale man was accused of manslaughter in the death of his young daughter in an automobile accident.
Phoenix police arrested 30-year-old Palemon Vega-Maqueda on Sunday in the Aug. 8 accident, in which his 6-year-old daughter was killed when Vega-Maqueda's car spun out of control and collided with a pickup truck.
According to police, Vega-Maqueda was driving approximately 25 mph above the posted speed limit when he attempted to pass a vehicle and collided with the pickup.
