PHOENIX -- A stretch of Interstate 17 in Phoenix has reopened following two crashes.
Arizona Department of Transportation officials said I-17 southbound at the Sunset Point Rest Area reopened at 2:30 p.m.
ADOT said two crashes a few miles apart led to the closure at 1:30 p.m.
Authorities said the first crash occurred about 2 miles south of the rest area. The second crash occurred immediately south.
Officials did not release further details about the crashes.
