PHOENIX -- Bond is set at $100,000 apiece for two Phoenix men accused of beating a woman after she refused to become a prostitute.
Phoenix police say 30-year-old Justin Johnson and 31-year-old Jalani Dehnay ``John'' Suggs are being held on suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault.
Neither man had an attorney at their initial court appearance Friday.
Police were called to a hospital Wednesday about a 34-year-old woman seeking medical treatment who said she had been held against her will.
The woman told police that she met Johnson a couple of months ago and he introduced her to Suggs last weekend.
She said both men attempted to persuade her to become involved in prostitution and when she refused, she allegedly was beaten and put in the truck of a parked car.
