PHOENIX — The fifth Mormon temple erected in Arizona is ready to be dedicated, but before that happens, in keeping with tradition, doors will open to the public.
Jennifer Wheeler, spokeswoman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, said the temple covers 27,000 square feet and has a 90-foot spire.
Once it is officially dedicated in November, only temple members in good standing are allowed in the building, but the public can see the interior in October.
The temple is located at 51st Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road.
