Siblings' fight turns deadly in metro Phoenix

PEORIA, Ariz. -- A fight involving two brothers left one man dead and the other in critical condition.

Police said 36-year-old Sunny Sanchez shot his 45-year-old brother three times during an argument at an apartment near 99th Avenue and Beardsley Road around midnight Thursday. Sanchez then shot and killed himself.

The surviving brother was taken to a hospital. His condition was unknown.

Sanchez's brother and mother were visiting from California. They, along with two roommates, were also in the apartment at the time of the shooting but were uninjured.

Police believe the brother's were arguing about Sanchez's girlfriend.
