PHOENIX -- Authorities have identified a man found dead in a lake at Cortez Park in northwest Phoenix.
Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said the body of 40-year-old Christopher Chee was found Monday afternoon.
According to witnesses, Chee had been drinking alcohol and using methamphetamines at the park at 35th and Dunlap avenues Sunday evening.
Crump said Chee was going into the lake when the witnesses left.
Police said there are no signs of foul play but a county medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
