Police: Man, 2 girls die in Scottsdale crash

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Authorities say three people are dead and one is injured following a single-vehicle crash in east Scottsdale.

Scottsdale police officer David Pubins said a pickup truck carrying two men and two children went out of control and rolled about 4 p.m. Saturday.

Pubins said in a news release that the adult male driver, 36-year-old Gregg Casillas, and two girls -- Leonor and Alyssa Bravo, ages 12 and 11, respectively -- were killed in the crash at 141st St. and Rio Verde. The man and one of the girls were ejected from the truck.

The children's father, 39-year-old Manuel Bravo, who was a passenger, was injured but able to extricate himself after the collision. He is expected to survive.

Casillas, of Wadell, was Manuel Bravo's brother-in-law.

There was no word on the cause of the crash, but Pubins said alcohol and bad weather are believed to have been factors.
