DinoCon roars into downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX -- More than 400 dinosaur lovers will be soaking up raptor talk, trading "Jurassic Park" trivia and sharing just why they love extinct prehistoric creatures this weekend in Phoenix.

DinoCon 2014 starts Saturday at 3 p.m. at the downtown Phoenix Center for the Arts near Third Street and Interstate 10.

The sold-out event features panels, crafts and other vendor wares and on-site food.

Convention organizers said there will be a few tickets sold at the door and recommended arriving by 2:30 p.m. for a shot. Tickets are $5.
