BUCKEYE, Ariz. -- Winds from a rainstorm knocked over 10 trailers in the Phoenix suburb of Buckeye as two people suffered minor injuries.
Some residents of the affected trailer park took refuge in a nearby Wal-Mart store after they lost power as a result of the Thursday night storm.
Buckeye Fire Chief Bob Costello said firefighters had to extricate several people from the overturned trailers.
Randy Murphree was one of those. Murphree says he and his wife had just gone to bed when the storm hit, shaking their trailer. It flipped over and they were trapped inside until freed by firefighters.
Murphree said he's thankful that he, his wife and their dog survived.
Costello said fire crews also had to deal with house fires, multiple power lines down and flooding in the area.
