Downtown Phoenix streets close for WNBA Fan Fest

PHOENIX -- A portion of downtown Phoenix has been closed off Friday for the daylong WNBA Fan Fest.

Central Avenue has been blocked off from Jefferson Street to Washington Street until midnight for the activities, which run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The fanfest precedes Saturday's All-Star game at US Airways Center, hosted by the Phoenix Mercury. Tip-off is 12:30 p.m. There will be no major traffic restrictions on game day.
