PHOENIX — A fatal rollover crash closed Interstate 10 in both directions south of Phoenix on Friday, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
Eastbound I-10 was closed at Avra Valley Road and westbound I-10 was closed at Cortaro Road. The westbound lanes were reopened around 1:15 p.m.
Just after 4:00 p.m., the far right lane on the eastbound side was reopened near Marana. Drivers are being routed around the scene of the crash, but extensive delays are still expected.
At least one person was killed and two were injured after a semi-truck crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another semi.
