Phoenix PD launches crime research website

Jul 3, 2014, 8:55 AM | Updated: 8:57 am

The Phoenix Police Department has launched a new public safety tool for the community called RAIDS.

“You can do your own crime research,” said Sgt. Trent Crump. “Find out how many robberies, assaults and other crimes are happening in your area and then make personal choices for your own personal safety.”

The user-friendly system allows residents to select parameters for a search, enter an address, select a particular time period and the crime-mapping program provides real-time results.

We want to hear from you.
