FLORENCE, Ariz. -- A Coolidge man convicted of sexually assaulting two people last year has been sentenced to 31.5 years in prison.

Pinal County prosecutors say 24-year-old Dakota Williams was sentenced Monday.

A county Superior Court jury found Williams guilty last November on four counts of sexual assault, one count of sexual abuse, one count of unlawful imprisonment and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was arrested in March 2013 and faced up to a 34-year prison term.

Williams was accused of sexually assaulting a transvestite in Coolidge on Jan. 27, 2013 and a woman in Casa Grande the following month.

Prosecutors say Williams picked up both victims, drove to a remote location and sexually assaulted them.

Williams also was accused of threatening the transvestite with a knife.
