PAGE, Ariz. -- The Civil Air Patrol says it has found what's believed to be the wreckage of a small plane last seen leaving a northeastern Arizona airport.

Authorities say a father and son from Southern California who were traveling to South Carolina left a Page airport without a flight plan. Family members reported the plane missing Saturday.

Coconino County Sheriff's spokesman Aaron Dick says two bodies were found inside the wreckage.

Patrol pilots from Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico have been helping with the search.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
