MESA, Ariz. -- Mesa police say light rail service was suspended Sunday afternoon due to a single-vehicle crash.

Police said a truck ended up on the tracks after hitting a power pole near Dobson and Main Street.

Television station KNXV reports delays were initially about 20 minutes, but Valley Metro transportation officials began using buses to transport passengers in both directions.

Police said the driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
