Vehicle fire closes SR87 north of Fountain Hills

PHOENIX — A car fire closed State Route 87 in both directions Thursday.

The roadway was closed north of Fountain Hills near McDowell Road.

The road was partially reopened about 1:50 p.m. Drivers were urged to avoid the area.
