PHOENIX -- A downtown Phoenix church that was the scene of a deadly shooting of a priest and an assault on another is holding Mass services as scheduled.

The Mother of Mercy Mission says on its website that Sunday Mass will be held at 7 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Parishioners have been in mourning since the Wednesday night attack that left the Rev. Kenneth Walker dead and the Rev. Joseph Terra in critical but stable condition.

Police are searching for a suspect described as white, male and between the ages of 40 and 49 years old.

Walker served as assistant pastor at the church.

The church also announced a fund to help pay for Walker's funeral expenses. So far, the online fund has received more than $34,000 in donations.
