Catholics around the state are in mourning after one priest was killed and another seriously injured at Mother of Mercy Mission on Wednesday night.
The Rev. Kenneth Walker was killed and the Rev. Joseph Terra was critically injuried at their parish by an unknown suspect.
According to The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, the Community of St. John-Marie Vianney has provided an outlet for this grief.
A Kansas church is accepting prayers, letters, memorials and donations for Walker’s family. Items should be sent to:
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walker
c/o St. John Vianney Chapel
14611B Waterman Crossing Road
Maple Hill, KS 66507
The church has also requested prayers for Terra, who is stable but still in critical condition.
