GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A suspect is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting at a Glendale apartment complex.

Glendale police say 28-year-old Dylan Labe Williams is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and misconduct involving weapons.

They say 29-year-old George Palmer was found shot several times in the torso early Tuesday. He died Wednesday afternoon at a Glendale hospital.

Witnesses told police that Palmer and Williams weren't acquaintances but were involved in an argument earlier in the evening in a common area of the apartment complex.

They reportedly argued again later and it escalated into a physical confrontation before Williams allegedly pulled out a handgun.

Police say Williams lives in Phoenix. It was unclear Thursday if he has an attorney yet.
