TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say a man believed to have been wounded in a drive-by shooting last weekend has been found dead in a car in Tucson.

Tucson police said the body of 35-year-old Jesus Alcarez-Ruiz was located Tuesday behind an industrial warehouse about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Workers at the industrial warehouse called 911 to report the car riddled with bullet holes and a dead body inside it.

Police said Alcarez-Ruiz was found in the passenger seat.

Officers responded about noon Sunday to a report of a drive-by shooting near South Tucson Boulevard but didn't see any vehicles or a crime scene.

Police said they are now investigating the case as a homicide and are searching for suspects.
