SEAL BEACH, Calif. -- The Oakland Athletics said Cy Young-winning pitcher Bob Welch has died.

The team said in a statement the two-time All-Star and former Arizona Diamondbacks pitching coach died in Seal Beach, Calif., on Monday night. He was 57. Cause of death was unavailable.

Welch also pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
